Obituary of Helen Ann Lewandoski
Helen Ann Stochel Lewandoski, 102, of South River, passed away peacefully at her home on March 8, 2021. Born in South Amboy, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Frank Stochel. She grew up in South Amboy before settling down in South River with her husband Joseph to whom she married in September of 1940. She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart in South Amboy and attended St. Mary of Ostrabrama in South River. She was a proud member of the St. Mary’s Rosary Society. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Helen is predeceased by her loving Husband Joseph in 1991; both her parents; brothers, Frank Stochel, Charles Stochel, Julius Stochel, Edward Stochel, Raymond Stochel; sisters Sister Mary Adjuta, Mary Kelly Martin, Ceil Ratynski, Tekla Thorik, Marge Kuchinski and Julia Stochel.
Helen is survived by her son Joseph Jr. of Long Beach, MS; daughters Veronica Januskiewicz of Marlboro and Joanne Stone of South River; her grandchildren Helen Stone-Scerbo, Christine Stone, James Januskiewicz, Eric Januskiewicz and Lindsey Rayborn, Joanne Shockey. 12 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcomed to gather on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 9am-11am at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. A prayer service will begin at 11am.
Graveside prayer will be held at 11:45am at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
