George Leotta

Obituary of George Leotta

George Leotta, 69, formerly of South River, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Brooklyn in 1952 he was the son of Rosario and Lillian Leotta. George worked as an Electrician for the Local IBEW 3 in New York. He was a devoted and loving husband for 48 years to his childhood sweetheart. Together, they were blessed with triplets, and loved them more than life itself. Whether George was behind the bench or cheering from the sidelines, he was their biggest fan. This passion multiplied when he became a grandfather. He supported his six grandchildren with the same excitement and pride and could be heard encouraging them through it all. He valued his friendships and touched many lives with his larger than life personality. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving is his loving wife Phyllis; daughter Nicole; sons Russell and Philip; grandchildren Luca, Angelina, Aiden, Melania, Logan, and Renzo; sisters Ida and Diane, brother Anthony; and many friends and relatives.
