Obituary of Betty Jean Koziatek
Betty Jean Koziatek, 94, of Monroe Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Evansville, Indiana, she was the daughter to the late Ollie Easler and Leaona Black. Before retiring, she worked as a seamstress for Brodsky and Sons in South River. Betty used her gift making dolls for children with lead poisonings at RWJ and gowns for the statue of the Blessed Mary at Saint Mary's Church. Betty's kindness and love radiated to all those around her. She will dearly be missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Walter C. Koziatek in February of 1983, her son Ronald Koziatek in 1991, and daughter Cynthia Rose Dowding in 2011. Surviving are her children Walter Koziatek Sr., Diane Smith and Stephanie Allgair; her grandchildren Melinda Smith, Jessica Niziolek, Vanessa Buksa, Walter & Keith Koziatek, Amanda Nale, Billy & Johnny Allgair, Betsy Gearhart, and David Dowding, and great grandchildren Brandon, Charlotte, Kenneth, Jayden, Jada, Ava, and Vivienne. Services will be held privately, under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
