Obituary of Margaret Nolan

MARGARET ANN NOLAN, age 93, of Old Bridge, NJ peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 28, 2019. Margaret was born in Limerick, Ireland, on July 15, 1925 settling in Old Bridge for over 40 years.  The most important thing in her life was her beloved family.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Margaret O’Sullivan, her husband of 47 years, William Calmar Nolan; her brothers and sisters, Bernie O’Sullivan, Joseph O’Sullivan, David O’Sullivan, Patrick O’Sullivan, Michael O’Sullivan, Elizabeth O’Sullivan, and Maureen O’Connor; her son-in-law, Robert Shamy.  She was survived by her 9 children, Susanne Raba and her husband Peter, Frank Nolan and his wife Jennifer, Diane Shamy and her husband Frank, Linda Morell and her husband Guido, Mary Balzano and her husband Frank, Kelly Reilly, Debra Shamy, William C. Nolan, Ann Baay and her husband Ralf; her 18 grandchildren, Peter Raba and his wife Kwi Jong, Michelle Barone and her husband Brian, Taylor Cicchino, Guido Morell and his wife Samantha, Adam Morell, Devon Nolan, Morgan Nolan, Ian Nolan, Megan Kroesch and her husband Frank, Phillip Morell, Alex Shamy, Derek Adams, Adrian Shamy, Kate Reilly, Frank Balzano Jr., Emily Reilly, Liam Shamy, and Cullan Shamy; her 5 great-grandchildren, Karah Raba, Victoria Raba, Sophia Raba, Giada Morell, and Gabriel Morell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2-6 PM at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Rd., East Brunswick, NJ. Funeral services will be held at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 83 Throckmorton Ln., Old Bridge, NJ on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 10:30AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Margaret to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (, and would be greatly appreciated.
