Obituary of Alma Arnold
Alma A. Arnold passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at her residence.
She was 91 years of age.
Alma Anker Arnold was born and raised in Sunset Park Brooklyn with her five siblings Rudolph, Carl, Ruth, Marshall and June Anker.
She was a community leader who worked with the local mental health program as well as being the president of the block association.
Alma moved to old Bridge in 1977 with her husband Bill (deceased 1981).
Alma was the mother of William (Billy) Arnold and Laurie Arnold. She was the proud grandmother of Jade, Jillian, Brandon and Morgan
Arnold. At the time of her death Alma lived with her daughter Laurie and granddaughter Jade.
Alma worked for the Old Bridge Police Department from 1979 until her retirement in 2007. She was a valued employee.
Alma was a talented artist and filled her home with many of her paintings. She was a lifelong animal lover, Cat Mom to Eve and Taz.
Alma was a beloved aunt and great aunt.
She leaves behind her loving family; her son Bill Arnold and daughter Laurie Arnold, her brother Carl Anker and sister June Hamilton, and her four grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, January 3rd at St. Ambrose Church in Old Bridge, followed by entombment at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery in Morganville.
