Obituary of June Canning

June Helen (Moldenhauer) Canning, age 91, of East Brunswick passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital,

New Brunswick.

Born in Jersey City she resided in East Brunswick for over sixty years.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Anna (Dunne) Moldenhauer, and her husband, Francis Canning, Sr., who died in1967.

Mrs. Canning was employed as a payroll supervisor by Fort Monmouth for 12 years before she retired in 1991. She was a long time communicant of Corpus Christi RC Church in South River. She held several other supervisory positions throughout her working life.

Due to her husband's naval occupation, she traveled extensively, living in Maine, Rhode Island, and Morocco, Africa., in addition to New Jersey.

She is survived by her two sons, Francis Canning, Jr. and his wife Melissa and Steven Canning and his wife Aileen, her two daughters: Sharon Welsh and her husband Roger and Kathleen Canning and her wife Doreen Stapleton, her 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 30 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 9:00 am at the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi RC Church in South River. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview. Charitable donations in lieu of flowers may be sent in June Canning's honor to the
