Obituary of Francis Purcell
Francis Xavier Purcell passed away June 18th, 2018 at Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge.
He was 84 years of age.
Born in Jersey City, Francis resided in South River for the past 33 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He worked for United Airlines at Newark Airport. He was an avid NY Giants, NY Mets and Norte Dame fan.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Lorraine Purcell, who passed away in 2003.
Francis is survived by his beloved family; wife Betty Purcell, daughters Diane, Barbara, Jacqueline and her husband Brian, Jeanette and her husband Rich, and Laura and her husband Dennis and 7 grandchildren Jennifer and her husband Jose, Tracy and her husband Darren, Adam, Emily, Drew, Ryan, Sean, 2 great grandchildren Christian and Brody, and his brother Raymond Purcell and his wife Helen and many nieces and nephews. He was very loved and will be missed by so many.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 21st, from 4-6pm, with a service taking place at 5:30pm at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
