Richard Bellamy, 77, of Spotswood, NJ left his body on May 20th, 2018 at Sunrise Senior Living in East Brunswick, NJ after a battle with cancer.
Rich was born the youngest of six children in Irvington, NJ to Gertrude (nee Meyer) and Roy Bellamy. After graduation from Irvington High School in 1958, he served his country in the United States Army, Corps of Engineers, for three years. Later, Rich entered commercial banking where he met his wife of 55 years, Ruth Ann Bellamy (nee Wyble). The couple moved to Spotswood, NJ in 1974, where they raised their two children. After retiring from banking in 1996, he went on to pursue his life long dream of becoming a Licensed Battlefield Tour Guide in Gettysburg, PA. The highlight of his life, he worked as a Guide until his diagnosis of cancer in late 2017.
Preceding Rich into eternity are his parents, Gertrude and Roy Bellamy, his brothers Roy, Russell, Eugene, and sister Ethel. Surviving him are his sister, Nancy (Scaturro), wife Ruth Ann, son Christopher, daughter Lisa, and grandsons Brett (Sherman), and Jake.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 23rd, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
