Obituary of Richard Zazenkowski
Richard M. Zazenkowski passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 14th, 2018 at his residence.
He was 84 years of age.
Born in South River, Richard resided in Sayreville, Spotswood and Delaware before settling in Monroe Twp. He worked as a machinist for Permacel (Johnson & Johnson), and was a volunteer at their First Aid Squad. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, member of the America Legion in Old Bridge, and in his free time, was an avid hunter and fisherman. Richard was a competitive gardener, always determined to have his garden ready before anyone else for the season, and grew the best Jersey tomatoes.
He was predeceased by his grandson Michael Martinell, who passed away in 2011, who is waiting for Richard to join him to fish again.
Richard leaves behind his loving family; beloved wife Marolyn (Nelson) Zazenkowski, his son Ricky Zazenkowski, his daughters Diane Lubanski and her husband John and Donna Martinell and her husband James, and 8 grandchildren- Derick, Riley, (serving in the US Army) and Alyson Zazenkowski, Kenny Lubanski (residing in Indianapolis) and Rachel Lubanski, (residing in Florida), and James Martinell and his wife Victoria and Thomas Martinell.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 16th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
A service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, May 17th at 11:00am, followed by burial at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
