Obituary of Henry Uchno

HENRY F. UCHNO PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18, 2018 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA HOSPITAL IN PHILADELPHIA.

HE WAS SIXTY-NINE YEARS OF AGE.

BORN ON SEPTEMBER 15, 1948 IN NEW BRUNSWICK, HE WAS THE SON OF THE LATE HENRY AND PEARL M. (ZIEMINSKI) UCHNO.

HE RESIDED IN MONROE TOWNSHIP FOR THE PAST 32 YEARS.

MR. UCHNO WAS EMPLOYED BY SCHINDLER ELEVATOR CORPORATION FOR 35 YEARS AS A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN BEFORE HE RETIRED.

HE WAS A U. S. NAVY VETERAN OF THE VIETNAM WAR, HAVING SERVED AS AN AVIATION ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN INVOLVED IN SURVEILLANCE AND COUNTEREVASIVE MEASURES IN DA NANG VIETNAM AND ATSUGI JAPAN.

SURVIVING ARE HIS WIFE MARY OF 47 YEARS, HIS TWO SONS, JOEL AND HIS WIFE GABRIELLE OF FREEHOLD, AND DANIEL OF MONROE, HIS BROTHER PETER UCHNO OF SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, AND HIS SISTER MARY ANN NEWMAN OF NORTH BRUNSWICK AND HIS TWO BELOVED GRANDCHILDREN, MATTHEW AND JULIA UCHNO.

HE ENJOYED BOATING, FARMING, GARDENING AND SPENDING TIME WITH HIS GRANDCHILDREN.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25, 2018 AT 9:00 AM FROM THE REZEM FUNERAL HOME, 457 CRANBURY ROAD, EAST BRUNSWICK, FOLLOWED BY A 10:00 AM MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL AT CORPUS CHRISTI CHURCH IN SOUTH RIVER.

BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT HOLY CROSS BURIAL PARK CEMETERY IN SOUTH BRUNSWICK.

CALLING HOURS WILL BE TUESDAY, APRIL 24, 2018 FROM 2-4 AND 7-9 P.M. AT THE REZEM FUNERAL HOME, 457 CRANBURY ROAD, EAST BRUNSWICK.
