Gerard Cuomo,92, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7th, 2020. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he resided in East Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was an accountant for AT&T. Gerard was predeceased by his wife, Angelina Cuomo, who passed away in 2001. Gerry is survived by his children, Robert Cuomo and Geraldine Sanchez (husband, Albert Sanchez Jr), his brother, Fr. Rocco Cuomo, two granddaughters, Kristin Sanchez and Alison Cranny (husband, Eric Cranny), and three great grandchildren, Logan, Emma, and Anna Cranny. Gerry loved to travel with his wife, usually to warmer places like Hawaii and the Caribbean. He was an avid bowler and billiards player. He was a good cook, and no family holiday gathering was complete without his eggplant parmigiana. He loved to play cards and Mah Jongg, and even at age 92, he was difficult to beat. His greatest joy was his family and friends, and he took particular delight in visiting his granddaughters, great grandson, and twin great granddaughters. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Those of us left behind take comfort in him reuniting with family members, friends, and his loving wife. Visitation is at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranberry Road, East Brunswick, New Jersey, on Wednesday, August 12th , 10 am. A funeral mass will follow 11 am at Corpus Christi Church, 100 James Street, South River. Immediately after the mass, the burial will be held at Holy Cross Burial Park, in South Brunswick.
