I was lucky enough to see Grandma just about every day for the better part of my life. In all that time it’s little things that stick with me.
Staying up past my bedtime as a kid to watch “rescue 911” together, her teaching me how to make scrambled eggs and cutting up my toast just right with the perfect amount of butter, folding all the wrapping paper on Christmas morning even though it was just going to get thrown out and her constant reminder on just how smart our dog was. All those, along with countless other “Grandma-isms” are what I’ll always keep with me.
I’m grateful for the 27 years I got to share with her, the time my daughter got to share with her and the way they would both light up to see each other.
Grandma, you were one of a kind and I will never forget you.
Josephine (Grandma) always made me feel so loved. I was her first grandchild and she spoiled me. She did not have an easy life, losing both her husband and son, but she always managed to be happy around her grandchildren. Weekend sleepovers at her house were filled with cousins, arts and crafts, board games, candy, her amazing Italian meals, and of course, lots of love. I will always treasure the time I had with her and I will be forever grateful for everything she did for me and all that I learned from her.
She was the heart of the Moscatello family and we will all miss her so much. Love you Grandma, rest in peace.
Grandma was a special lady who always had a smile on her face. She was self-less, kind and so much fun to be around! She always had a knack for making us feel special and welcomed when we walked in the room.
Grandma was always proud of all of her children, grandchildren and great-grand children and you could tell by the way she lit up each time she saw us. (After all, we were all geniuses because we knew where the light was...)
I will always have fond memories of Grandma, and I am so fortunate to have been her grandson for 40 years. We are all better people for knowing her and having her close in our lives.
May you rest in peace, Grandma. You will be missed
I love you "with all my heart"
