Harvey Glassman, 71, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
He was born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, and resided in Monroe, N.Y. before settling in East Brunswick, where he made his home. Harvey was a dedicated Mets fan, a J.R.R. Tolkien aficionado and, most memorably, a loving and dedicated friend, grandfather, father and husband and brother. He is greatly missed already. He had admirably served his country as a member of the United States Army having been stationed in Korea.
Harvey is survived by his best friend and son, Michael Glassman, his daughter-in-law Dorothy (Gacki) Glassman, his fiance Renee Barrett, his two adoring granddaughters Ava and Lilia, who love and miss their "Poppy" with all their hearts and Renee's granddaughter Gabrielle who he loved as his own. Harvey is predeceased by his wife Gail (Mendlowitz) Glassman, who he will finally be reunited with in heaven after years.
Remembrance Services will be from 6-8 pm on Monday, December 11th at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick, followed by a private burial ceremony on Tuesday, December 12th.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The East Brunswick Rescue Squad."
