Carmen J. Polizzotti entered peacefully into eternal rest with the Lord on Saturday, November 4th, 2017, surrounded by his devoted family.
He was 83 years of age.
Born in Paterson, Carmen was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he earned his BA, and went on to earn his Master's degree at Kean University. Carmen retired from Edison Township Board of Education after many years of teaching. He proudly served as Captain in the National Guard and as Company Commander of the Medical Battalion, retiring after 25 years of service.
In his free time, Carmen was an avid stamp and coin collector, and enjoyed cruising with his family to Bermuda.
Carmen leaves behind his family to cherish his memory; loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Zakor Polizzotti, devoted daughter Mary B. Polizzotti, and devoted son Anthony J. Polizzotti and his girlfriend Vicki Chirco.
The family of Carmen J. Polizzotti would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at Sunrise Senior Living, East Brunswick, and St. Peter's University Hospital for the care, compassion and respect provided to Carmen during his illness. We would also like to thank our adopted family, Margaret and Edwina for their extraordinary love, compassion, and support.
Rest in Peace, Carmen. We love you infinitely.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 8th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
Funeral Services will take place Thursday, November 9th at 10am at Rezem Funeral Home, followed by a mass at 11am at St. Bartholomew Church in East Brunswick. Burial will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
