George M. Bell passed away Saturday, January 16, 20010 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital,
New Brunswick.
Mr. Bell was 83 years of age.
Born in Scotland he resided in Parlin for many years.
George was a U.S. Marines veteran during Korean War.
He was a Senior Chemist for Amax Specialty Metals in Florham Park.
Mr. Bell was a member of the St. Stephens Mason Lodge in South Amboy.
George was a Bagpiping teacher and Adjudicator.
He was a founder of Eastern US Pipe Band Association and also a founder and
Pipe Major of Kenmure Pipe Band.
George was predeceased by his wife Shirley I. (Morrison) Bell who died in 2006
and his son, George Bell.
He is survived by his daughter Laurie Ann Mango of East Brunswick, his four sons, Duncan
Bell of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, James Bell of Batesville, Arkansas, Gordon Bell of Neptune, Donald Bell of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, his sister, Elsie Ferguson of Glasgow, Scotland and his thirteen grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick.
Burial will be at the Christ Church Cemetery in South Amboy.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ.
